eprentise 2-Page Overview |
Most industries are seeing a need for their ERP systems to be more flexible than they are today. Companies running Oracle E-Business Suite (OEBS) have particular challenges when they “upgrade” their business at a macro level and want their Oracle instance or instances to follow and support the new “release” of the business. The table shows the “Upgrade” scenarios and solution operations. |

eprentise Product Datasheet |
eprentise software copies, filters, changes, and merges data from one or more Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) sources into a defined EBS target. An underlying eprentise engine (Metadata Analysis) analyzes the data structures, relationships, and other database objects. Once the Metadata Analysis is complete, rule templates are used to generate the code required to change, filter, merge, or copy source data to the desired target data. In the process, the source and target may be compared, standards may be applied, duplicates identified and resolved, and differences in business processes reconciled. |
|
FlexField Datasheet |
FlexField’s built-in knowledge base of Oracle E-Business Suite provides a low-risk, low-cost way to make rapid changes to the accounting flexfield. Businesses can change their Chart of Accounts and bring in all transaction history over a weekend while maintaining relational integrity. Users also can model potential business initiatives in order to gauge the financial impact ahead of time. |
|
Consolidation Datasheet |
eprentise Consolidation software allows companies to merge two or more instances of Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) into a single, consolidated database instance that includes all of the data and history from the source instances. eprentise software relies on its built-in knowledge base of EBS to provide a streamlined and cost-effective way to consolidate different instances after a merger or acquisition or a move to a centralized data center. eprentise Consolidation software automates the process and generates all of the required code to standardize data, resolve duplicates, align set-up parameters, and synchronize business processes across multiple implementations of EBS. The resulting single database is a synthesis of all the source EBS database instances, aligned to the current business strategy. |
|
Reorganization Datasheet |
eprentise Reorganization software allows companies to make a variety of major organizational changes to better reflect their business structure and operations in their Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS). Types of reorganizations include changing calendars, moving operating units from one set of books (ledger) to another, moving legal entities to a different set of books (ledger), and merging operating units. |
|
Currency Change Datasheet |
eprentise Currency Change software allows Oracle® E-Business Suite customers to change the functional currency for any set of books. Relying on its built-in knowledge base of Oracle EBS, eprentise software provides a streamlined, cost-effective way to change the functional currency for a set of books. |
|
Calendar Change Datasheet |
Sometimes the business requires changes to an existing calendar – either changing the calendar from a 4-4-5 calendar to a monthly calendar, changing a monthly calendar to a fiscal calendar, changing the dates on a period, changing the number of periods, or even changing the period names or calendar name. There are a number of difficulties to overcome because in Oracle E-Business Suite, the GL calendar is also used in many subledgers. Creating a new set of books or ledger and using financial consolidation for reporting isn’t always an option because when you change sets of books, your history and subledger detail isn’t synchronized with the reporting set of books and periods. |
|
Divestiture Datasheet |
When divesting, eprentise software creates two fully functional instances by copying all supporting configuration and transaction data to maintain the relational integrity of both the source system and the divested system. Companies may divest data based on any type of criteria including product line, customers, regions, or organization units. |
