Do you want to prevent end-users from accidentally or deliberately messing with your Chart of Accounts combos? Try setting up cross-validation rules (CVRs), which are used to limit which segment values in your Chart of Accounts – or other key flexfields – can be used together. How do CVRs work? At time of data entry, a CVR determines and controls the valid values that may be used in combination with values in other segments in the flexfield. Users cannot enter combinations that the CVRs will not permit. In this session, learn the value of these rules, and understand how to design a chart of accounts that minimizes the number and complexity of CVRs. Join us to examine the top six best practices to remember when designing CVRs.
Do you still have questions on creating cross-validation rules? Visit the new LinkedIn Group, EBS Answers, to read feedback provided by the EBS community, post your own inquiries and participate in discussions. Join now at http://www.linkedin.com/groups/EBS-Answers-4683349/about.
