FlexField

FlexField software restores flexibility to EBS and includes additional features that increase accuracy.  You just define your new accounting flexfield and map your old flexfield to the new one. FlexField software recognizes the EBS constraints, translates the code-combination ID (CCID), and updates all transactions automatically.

This demo looks at the different features and user interface items of FlexField as it walks through the process of changing a chart of accounts in E-Business Suite.

Change Calendar Period Dates

Sometimes the business requires changes to an existing calendar – either changing the calendar from a 4-4-5 calendar to a monthly calendar, changing a monthly calendar to a fiscal calendar, changing the dates on a period, changing the number of periods, or even changing the period names or calendar name. There are a number of difficulties to overcome because in Oracle E-Business Suite, the GL calendar is also used in many subledgers. Creating a new set of books or ledger and using financial consolidation for reporting isn’t always an option because when you change sets of books, your history and subledger detail isn’t synchronized with the reporting set of books and periods.

Divestiture – Filter by CCID

Divestiture is not an end in itself but rather a means to building companies that can grow and prosper over the long haul. Wise executives divest businesses in order to create new ones and expand existing ones. Companies are under increasing pressure to sustain growth and retain existing customers, while reducing the impact of organizational changes such as divestitures. eprentise Divestiture software automates the process of filtering specific information about customers and products from a single production database into two separate database instances. Both the source database and the filtered database remain as complete functioning, fully configured applications with only the information relevant to each independent company preserved in that company’s production database.

When divesting, eprentise software creates two fully functional instances by copying all supporting configuration and transaction data to maintain the relational integrity of both the source system and the divested system. Companies may divest data based on any type of criteria including product line, customers, regions, or organization units.  This demo runs through a divestiture accomplished through filtering by code combination IDs.
