The reason you have to make the choice to change in the first place is because of the underlying "setup" concept. There are certain types of setups "that are not easily changed" within Oracle E-Business Suite 11i. Or in R12. E-Business Suite does not provide flexibility to change these setups to reflect the current and future business. It may be easier for the EBS customer to avoid making changes and instead change the goal.

It is not impossible to change the setups.
