Operating a Global Shared-Services Center Using Multiple Organizations Access Control in R12 (S316465)

Presented by:

Abstract
This session covers how Kinetic Concepts (KCI), a global medical technology company, reorganized their Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) to take advantage of R12 functionality and operate a shared-services center.  KCI merged 5 charts of accounts, set up Multiple-Organization Access Control (MOAC) to manage processes and share data across operating units, and set up Oracle Subledger Accounting to enable compliance with statutory requirements. MOAC increases the efficiency of operating a shared-services center, with streamlined access and processing across operating units.   A single chart of accounts is saving KCI money by consolidating operations, reporting, training requirements, and Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) analysis.

Oracle E-Business Suite 12: The Upgrade-Versus-Reimplement Decision (S316483)

Presented by:

Abstract
An Oracle upgrade takes less time and costs less than a reimplementation. Yet, many organizations think they cannot upgrade because of existing setups, obsolete structures and configurations, or because they have multiple production instances. Learn how to avoid a reimplementation and still be able to leverage the new architecture and features of Oracle E-Business Suite 12. Many organizations are able to change existing Release 11 Oracle Applications to meet new business requirements; preserve all their history; and get to Oracle E-Business Suite 12 faster, better, and cheaper by choosing to perform a software-assisted upgrade. This session covers the basic decision process, the options and roadmap of an upgrade, and the disadvantages of a reimplementation.

Not only do you have an excellent product, but you and your team provided top notch service to us (including some extra hand holding to get us in the right direction). I’m looking forward to our next project.

-- Tina Mitchell, BIAS Corporation (Client: Xiocom Wireless)
It is a pleasure to work with you and I think that the product is great for companies like Embry Riddle.

-- Karen Kerames, IT Convergence (Client: Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University)
The whole project has been a success. Saved the company lots of money by not re-implementing Oracle. The quality of service was unmatched.

-- Matt Adelman, Consultant (Client: Uponor)
I’d recommend this software to anyone that needs to change their CoA with minimal effort. The FF Express team is well experienced and showed that they were subject matter experts when it came to altering your chart and its impacts.

-- Marco Meirinho, GFI Group
[The FlexField Express team] was on top of our every move from demo to implementation, providing feedback, answering questions, and asking us if we were on track. Communication was better than I have ever had with any vendor.

-- Corvin Deus, Ultradent
[FlexField Express provided] very good service. It takes a lot of the burden off the staff that’s running the conversion and allows for more focus on designing the new COA.

-- Jason LaFontaine, Marion County (Oregon)
