What We Offer

Two product lines:

  • FlexField — Software to change the chart of accounts in EBS
  • eprentise — High Definition (HD) software that copies, merges, changes, or filters the data in Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) instances

Who We Serve

eprentise is a proven solution for large and middle-market US-based and international customers from both private and public sectors that currently use EBS. Our software assists companies looking to upgrade to R12, particularly companies that need to re-structure their business to change configurations, consolidate instances, separate data, or address other significant organizational changes they have experienced since originally implementing EBS. While our solutions are applicable to a wide variety of industry verticals, the pain points we address are common in the manufacturing, financial services, and both federal and local government industries.

Oracle EBS expertise - productized.

This is where we're coming from.
  • A well-known world leader and Subject Matter Expert on data, application, and process consolidation, founder Helene Abrams conceptualized and architected eprentise to copy, filter, merge, and change data in Oracle E-Business Suite.
  • We came up with the mantra of finished, but not done to describe the cycle of going live on a production EBS instance (being finished) only to go back several years later to reimplement (not done).
  • The software product offerings of eprentise are the brainchild of Helene, and the eprentise team has worked on this technology, projected by industry experts as the only full consolidation solution in the world, since 1998.

We'll save you a million dollars.  Guaranteed.

You are spending too much money on IT.
  • Is your growing organization running and maintaining multiple production instances of EBS for multiple locations or for different business units?
  • We guarantee that using eprentise Consolidation software to perform a state-of-the-art consolidation will save your organization at least a million dollars IT operational expense.
  • This isn’t impossible, we have done it for an international automotive supplier, in an 8 month start through production cutover period, using only 5 FTE of their IT and functional resources. We can do this because our solution is rules-based software, not custom scripts.

Because software is better.

No manual coding means mitigated risk and increased compatibility with the business.
  • Companies running Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) have particular Oracle-related challenges when they “upgrade” their business at a macro level and want their Oracle instance or instances to follow and support the new “release” of the business.
  • EBS’s strength is in running the business. The implementation of EBS is a model of the business’ organization and processes. EBS was not engineered to make it easy to change certain key aspects of the implementation — the model of the business — for a business “upgrade”.
  • A series of reimplementations is not only costly, it is unnecessary. eprentise software was architected from the ground up with the purpose of providing enterprise agility to organizations that rely on EBS for their financials and day-to-day operations.

Metadata Analysis - now in high-def.

What makes eprentise so different?
  • The key to eprentise is the Metadata Analysis process. Metadata Analysis discovers and documents the internals and architecture of your E-Business Suite environment.
  • The discovery process includes looking at all the relationships in the database, applying recognition patterns to classify the data into different categories, and then matching what it finds with the data built into eprentise’s extensive KnowledgeBase rule repository.
  • After Metadata Analysis learns about your environment, it creates rules that direct eprentise software in the methods and sequences for making changes to the database. Once a rule is verified as not compromising the data integrity, it is added to the KnowledgeBase.

You don't have to reimplement.

We believe E-Business Suite 11i customers can upgrade instead of reimplement, shorten the time-to-value at a lower cost, and provide a better R12 result for both the Business and IT.
  • The transition from 11i to R12 is a high-stakes major initiative for any E-Business Suite customer.
  • Reimplementation projects may cost in the range of several million dollars to tens of millions and are often proportional to the size and complexity of the business.
  • Customers think they have to reimplement when they need to make changes to fundamental setup configurations such as charts of accounts, calendars, legal entities, sets of books (ledgers in R12), operating units, org units, or inventory organizations.  They don't have to.  That's where eprentise change the game.

With eprentise, Upgrading 11i to R12 is the Better Transition Path.

  • There are certain types of setups “that are not easily changed” within Oracle E-Business Suite 11i. Or in R12.
  • It is not impossible to change the setups. It may be costly or technically difficult and take a long time. This is the kind of challenge system integrators, professional service firms, and independent software vendors relish.
  • With eprentise software you can change the “not easily changed” setups in both releases, 11i and R12. You can keep your history. You can change your 11i instance so that it matches your desired target environment and then you can upgrade to R12.

Designing a Chart of Accounts for a Global Company

May

A good chart of accounts (COA) provides flexibility for recording and reporting accounting information, structure for managing business uniformly, and enhanced enterprise communication. Five fundamental criteria for designing a COA in Oracle E-Business Suite will optimize business growth and flexibility and minimize back-end accounting maintenance. In this session, we'll focus on new features in Release 12 including Subledger Accounting and Ledger Sets that provide an added incentive to adopt a well-designed COA.
