Metadata Analysis

Metadata Analysis is the core of eprentise software. At the metadata level, eprentise software mines the relationships and other constraints and identifies gaps between a source and destination database, and differences between the installed database and a “Gold instance”. The embedded knowledge repository and the results of the mining process allow the eprentise software to understand the data relationships and to permeate changes throughout a database while maintaining the relational integrity of the underlying data.

Divestiture

eprentise Divestiture software creates two separate database instances, one for the parent company and one for the divested company.  Each company’s application has only its own data, ensuring that the parent company is comfortable with data security and enabling the divested company to function completely on its own.

Data Subset

eprentise Data Subset software creates a smaller data set from the Oracle E-Business Suite. The subset of data can be filtered by any criteria for developing modeling scenarios and for testing. Users can select a single module, only open transactions, transactions within a date range, or particular transaction types. eprentise Data Subset creates a complete, usable instance with only the data that meets the filter criteria.

Data Quality

eprentise Data Quality software standardizes data (abbreviations, punctuation, etc.) within a single database or across disparate databases. Data Quality is like a massive search and replace across all tables and works on configuration data and master data, permeating all changes in every transaction across the system. It is particularly useful for changing area codes for all types of phone numbers or changing units of measure across instances. Data Quality is required before identifying duplicate data.

Reorganization

eprentise Reorganization software allows companies to move transactions from one set of books to another, move a legal entity from one set of books to another, move transactions from one operating unit or one legal entity to another, or to change calendars in Oracle’s E-Business Suite. Many sets of books can be consolidated into a new set of books allowing for shorter close cycles, more accurate reconciliation with supporting subledger detail, and real-time financial consolidation.
